Touriga Wine & Dine on Estr. do Farol is the kind of place you stumble into once—and then plan your week around. This stylish little wine bar and restaurant in Carvoeiro balances a relaxed, candle-lit vibe with the energy of a kitchen that clearly loves what it’s doing. Even when the room is full, guests are looked after with genuine warmth, and the bar is a great front-row seat to watch the team at work while you settle in.
The menu is built for sharing and discovering, and it’s hard to go wrong. Regulars talk about creative, beautifully executed plates like mushroom croquettes, asparagus tempura, sautéed clams, and prawns finished simply with extra virgin olive oil and garlic—proof that great ingredients don’t need fuss. One standout that people keep raving about is the inventive cod served with shoestring potatoes, egg, and onion, plus fries that somehow become a must-order all on their own.
What truly elevates the experience is the approach to the wine. If you’re not sure what to choose, you’re in safe hands: the team is known for taking a moment to understand your preferences and then recommending spot-on Portuguese bottles from different regions. It feels less like a standard pairing and more like a tailored guide through the country’s best pours—perfect whether you want a single glass at the bar or a full evening of tasting.
For a memorable night out—easygoing, personal, and packed with flavor—Touriga Wine & Dine is a top pick for anyone looking for Portuguese small plates and standout wine in Carvoeiro.

in the last weekThe hours are incorrect. We arrived at 9:45 PM and they couldn't serve us because the kitchen closes at 10:00 PM, according to what they told us.

a week agoGot lucky with a late walk in and was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Portugal. Every wine suggested was exquisite and all the food was fresh and flavorful. Make a reservation ahead if you can, it’s worth it!
