4 weeks agoIf you bring your pet, you will not be welcome. A very bad experience and, above all, very disappointing due to the treatment we received. We arrived with our 7 kg (15 lb) Pinscher, a calm, well-behaved dog who didn't even bark. There were many free tables on the terrace, and a waiter showed us to one. A few minutes later, another employee approached to put down a paper tablecloth, saw the dog, and told us we couldn't have dinner there because we had a dog. I specifically asked if we could even eat on the outdoor terrace, and the answer was a resounding no. He then removed the tablecloth and left, making it clear that we were not welcome. The most striking thing was that a Portuguese woman who had witnessed the situation approached us to ask if we were really being turned away for having our dog. When we confirmed that we were, she expressed her indignation and even confronted the owner. The explanation given was that “everyone pays the same price for those who misbehave.” The worst part wasn't being denied a table; it was the humiliating feeling we had after being seated at a waiter's suggestion and then being turned away in front of other customers. We left extremely disappointed.
