di.Vino is the kind of place in Vila Real de Santo António that turns a simple dinner into a night you’ll remember. It’s intimate and cosy, with interesting artwork on the walls, relaxing jazz in the background, and a team that makes you feel genuinely looked after from the moment you sit down.
The menu leans into Portuguese favourites while keeping things varied—expect a strong selection of seafood, meats, and even curries for anyone looking to mix it up. Seafood lovers are in for a treat: guests rave about fish dishes across multiple courses, from pâté and soup to a generous platter that’s full of flavour and freshness. If you’re an oyster person, this is a top pick—oysters are frequently singled out as a highlight, along with the breads, pâtés, and those little table extras that make a meal feel special. Even the olives have a fan club here.
Wine is clearly part of the experience rather than an afterthought. People consistently mention Portuguese wine as a strong point, and it pairs naturally with the kitchen’s focus on seafood and rich, well-seasoned dishes. It’s a great spot for a slower, more indulgent evening—whether you’re visiting for a weekend or settling into town and looking for a go-to restaurant that feels a little bit elevated.
Service is another reason di.Vino stands out. Diners describe it as friendly, attentive, and welcoming, with owners who create a warm atmosphere without being overbearing. Yes, it’s on the pricier side for the area, but the overall experience—food, setting, and care—makes it feel worth it. For a polished night out built around seafood restaurant favourites, great wine, and a refined ambience, di.Vino is a standout in VRSA.

3 months agoWe had starters, drinks, mains and more drinks. It was the most delicious meal I've ever expierienced, the tuna steak was the most divine; and to be honest, life changing. Hats off to the chef and the wonderful waiter in glasses. He kept us laughing and vibing while the chef served us the most sensational food, could not recommend hard enough. amazing, simply amazing!!!!!

3 months agoWent to this place this eve on back of good reviews and we were genuinely excited to try it. We were off to a good start with a lovely fish soup and a tomato salad (albeit that was a bit over priced). However 3 issues then ensued: 1 wine is massively over priced here. The same rose was literally 100m or so in another restaurant at half the price. The rose we had (pacheca) was acidic and simply not worth €22. 2 our octopus mains were both utterly terrible. The photos others had posted of full octopus tentacles were not present here. This was maybe half a tentacle that had been fried to within an inch of its life in far too much oil and served with too many fries. Its actually the single worse main I've had in over 16 years of eating out in the algarve. No mean feat! 3 the service was slow and the servers were far more focused on another single group instead of the restaurant as a whole. A glib apology was proferred in response to the feedback on the mains along with a very unhelpful response of 'try something else next time'. Not good enough and there certainly won't be a next time. We weren't looking for a refund or anything of that nature but maybe the offer of edible food as a replacement would have been decent. I ate mine but only as I was so hungry after waiting for so long after the starter. It was also a pitiful serving. I overheard that this place is to close soon and maybe the owners have one eye on the future instead of looking after customers in the present. Either way would never return. Not worth even half the money we paid I'm afraid.
