Treasure Tours (kayak tours) is the kind of experience you book when you want the Algarve coast to feel wild, quiet, and genuinely personal—not crowded or rushed. Launching from Benagil in Lagoa, this kayak tour focuses on small groups and a calm, unhurried pace, making it ideal for first-timers and confident paddlers alike.
One of the most talked-about options is the early-morning sunrise outing, when the ocean can be smooth and glassy and the cliffs catch those warm, glowing colors as the day begins. It’s a special way to approach the coastline—paddling instead of powering through it—so you can actually hear the sea, spot the details in the rock, and take in the caves without the buzz of busy traffic around you.
What really sets Treasure Tours apart is how tailored the trip feels. Guests often describe intimate groups where the guide keeps everything relaxed and easy, while still covering a route packed with highlights: weaving through sea caves, slipping into hidden beaches only reachable by water, and (of course) visiting the iconic Benagil Cave. The itinerary feels thoughtfully chosen—balancing the “must-see” spots with lesser-visited corners that make the Algarve feel like your own discovery.
Another standout is the communication and flexibility before you even touch the water. Travelers mention how easy it is to coordinate timing and how accommodating the team can be when plans change—helping you fit an unforgettable paddle into a tight schedule. Once out there, the guiding style is friendly and attentive, with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and local insight. Expect helpful coaching, interesting context about the coastline, and a guide who’s clearly passionate about this stretch of Portugal.
If you’re staying near Benagil or Carvoeiro and want a memorable way to experience the cliffs and caves, Treasure Tours is a strong pick for anyone seeking a small-group kayaking experience that feels peaceful, scenic, and truly connected to the place.

in the last weekIt was an awesome kayaking tour! We got to explore so many beautiful caves, and the whole experience was super cool. Our guide, Filipe, was super friendly, kind, and funny. He knew so much about the area and made the tour really fun and interesting. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I’d highly recommend it!

in the last weekExcellent small group kayak tour, very knowledgeable local guide with excellent English. Having seen some other larger groups while out on our tour, I was really pleased to have booked with Treasure Tours, as they seemed a bit impersonal and their beach and caves tours must have taken a long time to get everyone through. Easy parking and only a short walk down to the beach to set off. Some level of fitness is required but each kayak took 2 people so one can rest while the other one paddles!!! Good value and great memories made. Suncream and a hat is a must for pale English and Irish!!!! Thank you Filipe.

in the last weekWe had an excellent kayaking tour to the Benagil Caves with Filipe, especially thanks to our guide. In addition to the “standard” tour to the Benagil Cave, Filipe provides interesting geological, historical, and cultural insights into the area. But above all, we were able to see other caves and beaches along the way that aren’t as well-known—and, to be honest, that might have made them even more interesting. His charming and always helpful nature makes you feel at ease from the very first moment. You can tell that nature and the region are close to his heart. So here’s a plea to anyone considering how to visit the caves: Please don’t take any of the motorboats. They not only destroy the environment but also ruin the atmosphere.
