Specialty Coffee & Chilled Lunches Just Outside Sagres

Sagres Surf & Coffee (Specialty Coffee) is the kind of spot you’re glad you made a tiny detour for—set inside the Orbitur campsite at Cerro das Moitas, just a few minutes from town, yet it feels like its own laid-back little world. Don’t let the campsite setting fool you: it’s open to everyone. Park near reception, stroll in, and you’ll find a fun, active space where it’s easy to settle in and slow down.

People come for the specialty coffee and end up staying for the food, the terrace views, and the easygoing atmosphere. If you’re craving something fresh and satisfying, the menu shines with veggie-friendly choices and smart, flavorful combinations—think smashed avocado on sourdough with a fried egg, or sourdough topped with zucchini, feta, roasted apple, and a balsamic glaze. It’s the sort of lunch that feels wholesome without being boring, and it pairs perfectly with a smooth latte or a well-made espresso.

It’s also a great pick when you want a café that works for real life—whether that means a relaxed meal after a morning outdoors, a casual catch-up, or a place to open your laptop for an hour. The vibe stays calm and welcoming, the pricing feels fair for the quality, and the terrace is a favorite for soaking up the Sagres scenery with a coffee in hand. Add in treats like a “healthy” chocolate brownie and a refreshing cocktail (watermelon is a standout), and you’ve got an all-in-one stop that hits the spot.

Clean facilities and friendly, English-speaking staff make it especially easy for travelers, but it never feels touristy—just genuinely comfortable. If you’re looking for a reliable café in Sagres with great food, strong coffee, and a mellow setting, this is one you’ll want on your shortlist.

The café is located in a campground, but it's still accessible. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent and generous portions; the salmon waffle is a must-try! Very reasonable prices.
