Ribeira do Álamo is a modest Algarve photo stop near Altura. The subject is not a grand cliff or a resort beach, but the smaller line of a local watercourse and its margins.
Work slowly here. Reeds, low vegetation, water edges and small natural details will carry more weight than a wide postcard view. Keep the camera ready for close compositions rather than expecting one obvious viewpoint to do all the work.
Pair it with Praia da Lota, Praia da Alagoa, Praia da Manta Rota or Cacela Velha if you are already building a coastal circuit in this part of the eastern Algarve.
Who it’s for: patient nature photographers, coastal walkers looking for quieter textures, and anyone collecting the less obvious edges between the better-known beaches. It is a stop, not a standalone destination.
