a week agoWonderful surprise. Sent a WhatsApp to ask for a reservation. Responded very quickly. The service was outstanding. Very friendly and always courteous. Food was fantastic. Go on a Friday or Saturday for Steak night. Huge ribeye cooked really well, plenty of homemade sauces to accompany and fries. A hidden gem and would go back without hesitation. Highly recommend. Thank you.

2 weeks agoSatisfactory meal in a nice setting. We went on Saturday for steak night — the dish was decent and good value at €25. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. One issue is worth flagging so the owners can fix it and future diners can avoid it: when it came time to pay, the server took my card and selected payment in my home currency instead of euros — without asking. Of all the places I paid by card over a two-week trip, this was the only one that made that choice for me. It came with a poor exchange rate and a mandatory 5% markup I never would have agreed to. When I asked the server whether he'd charged me in euros, he said yes but the receipt said otherwise. When I showed him, he got flustered and called over someone who may have been the manager. She said there was nothing she could do and walked off. I don't believe that — merchants typically earn a share of that conversion markup, so it felt less like "can't" and more like "won't." A shame, because it turned what should have been a pleasant evening sour.
