Set within the Quinta do Lago resort area in Almancil, Restaurante Limoni Quinta do Lago delivers the kind of dinner that feels like a little escape—romantic, comfortable, and quietly impressive from the first step inside. Many diners describe it as stepping into a “magical” place, where the ambience leans timeless and elegant without losing that welcoming Algarve ease.
The dining room’s standout feature is its connection to the view: large glass panels open the space to a calm panorama, making it a beautiful pick for date night, a celebratory meal, or a relaxed evening with friends. The team here is frequently highlighted for going the extra mile—helpful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your night feel effortless. If you spot Tiago on shift, you’ll likely get that extra touch of guidance, whether it’s pacing the meal or picking something great to drink.
On the plate, Limoni is all about confident Italian comfort done with care. Guests repeatedly recommend the fresh pasta, including classics like tortellini and seafood linguini, with sauces that taste balanced and ingredients that feel premium. Seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy too—mussels are a popular choice—while the vegetable-forward dishes can be just as memorable, like a beautifully executed eggplant parmigiana (parmigiana) that people describe as soft and delicate. For something indulgent, oysters with caviar are a splurge that’s been called truly special.
Save room for dessert: semifreddo is a standout for many, and the overall experience feels thoughtfully put together—from presentation to timing to the wine list. If you’re looking for an elevated Italian restaurant in Almancil (Quinta do Lago) where the setting is as strong as the cooking, Restaurante Limoni Quinta do Lago is a must—especially if you book ahead and let the evening unfold properly.

in the last weekFood quality was solid throughout, with the pasta dishes standing out as genuinely superb. The floor staff, partially Italian speaking, inject an authentic warmth and charm into a lively, high-energy room. The decor leans unapologetically into a delightfully kitschy, Sopranos era aesthetic that actually adds to the character. The Hospitality Deficit: The primary misstep of the evening occurred at the door. The hostess(seemingly French) set a distinctly unwelcoming tone by brusquely laying down rigid table duration limits right upon arrival. Imposing turn-time countdowns with zero finesse is poor service under any context, but particularly uncalled for when the restaurant already secures its risk with an upfront credit card hold. Pricing is decidedly elevated, but the strong output from the kitchen and the room's overall energy largely balance the ledger. High-grade cooking and fine floor staff, just be prepared to look past a chilly reception at reception.

2 weeks agoThe atmosphere and service are top-notch. You go there and are treated like a VIP. The first visit is surprising... a fun and familiar ritual... The team is extraordinary and very friendly. The food is delicious and very flavorful. The atmosphere, like the team, is very musical, authentic, festive, and epicurean. We love it! Thank you!!

4 weeks agoA fabulous restaurant with a high energy experience and stunning food. Really enjoyed the night. I would give this place 6 stars if they turned the volume of the background music down as it was too loud and intrusive. Our party of 10 had to ask for this a few times on the night which was a shame. Apart from thus it was a delight. We loved Tiago.
