Esteveira keeps to itself: a small beach on Aljezur’s plateau coast near Rogil, reached by dirt tracks through the scrub and found only by people who meant to find it. There are no services and no lifeguards, and the beach has a long-standing naturist tradition (one of the west coast’s established unofficial naturist spots, worth knowing before you wander down with a camera). Photograph the landscape, not the people.

The setting is Costa Vicentina in miniature (dark rock, pale sand, Atlantic swell), and the coast’s standing rules apply: the cliffs are unstable, the sea is powerful, and nobody is watching over either.

Who it’s for: naturists, and anyone after genuine solitude on the Aljezur stretch. Access details are thin and tracks change; verify the route before committing.
