Piri Piri D’Almancil is a go-to spot in Almancil for laid-back meals, friendly service, and the kind of comfort food that hits the mark whether you’re dining with family or meeting friends for an easy evening out. Set on Estr. Vale Formoso, it has a relaxed garden feel that works especially well for long lunches and early dinners—casual, welcoming, and unpretentious in the best way.
The headline item here is, unsurprisingly, the chicken. If you’re exploring Algarve staples and want a place that takes piri piri chicken seriously, this is a strong contender—well-cooked, full of flavour, and often praised as a standout meal in the area. Plates tend to come with satisfying sides like vegetables and perfectly done rice, making it a complete, no-fuss option when you want something hearty and straightforward.
There’s plenty beyond chicken too. Burgers are a popular choice when you’re after something familiar, and they’re the kind of easy win that feels exactly right on a relaxed holiday evening. If you like your food with serious heat, the spicy chicken is not shy—definitely one for chilli lovers and anyone who enjoys a proper kick.
For groups, the sharing platter is a smart order, especially if you want to sample a bit of everything without overthinking it. And if you’re saving room for something sweet, desserts like the chocolate brownie round out the meal nicely.
Overall, Piri Piri D’Almancil delivers good value, a family-friendly atmosphere, and consistently warm hospitality—an easy recommendation when you want a reliable grill restaurant in Almancil that keeps things tasty, simple, and enjoyable.

in the last weekA great restaurant. We came twice on our trip. Great drinks. Clear allergen menu which includes gluten free options. Fantastic.

in the last weekNos atendieron de maravilla desde el primer momento.

a week agoWe have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and previously it has been a fabulous place to enjoy dinner...... Not any more. Its very obviously been taken over by a new team for whom standards are different. Tonight I had the Picanha steak which is half the meal it was previously in terms of size of steaks and much more expensive. In addition it was cold and the chimichurri was appalling, small and poorly made. My wife had the combo shared with our son, which again was cold, with poor cuts of fatty meat. We visit this place when in the Algarve on holiday so this deterioration may have existed for some time, but it is not the restaurant it was last time we came. We wont visit again as there are too many lovely more reasonable places to eat locally.
