Even by Costa Vicentina standards, Praia da Quebrada is obscure — a cove on Aljezur’s cliff coast inside the Sudoeste natural park, with no signage, no facilities and no formal access to speak of. What’s there is the west coast at its rawest: dark cliffs, cold and energetic Atlantic, and sand that comes and goes with the winter storms.

The cliffs here are unstable and the cove is completely unsupervised — keep clear of the rock base, respect the swell, and don’t treat the water casually; this coast doesn’t forgive it.

Who it’s for: coastline completists and photographers working the wild stretch between Aljezur’s named beaches, happy to shoot from above if the way down doesn’t look sane on the day. For a first west-coast beach, start with Monte Clérigo or Arrifana instead — this one is for later.
