Diamond Tours – Kayak Tours Rental is a kayak tour company based in Carvoeiro, offering an exciting way to experience the Algarve coastline beyond what you can see from clifftop viewpoints. If your idea of a great day includes paddling through sea arches, slipping into caves, and stopping at a beautiful beach to recharge, their guided routes are designed for exactly that.
The tours are known for being well organized and easy to follow, even if it’s your first time in a sea kayak. Guides explain what to expect and keep a close eye on safety while still keeping the mood relaxed and fun. Travelers often mention how smooth the experience feels on the water, with kayaks that are comfortable to navigate—even out on the open ocean—so you can focus on the scenery instead of struggling with the equipment.
One of the highlights is the variety: rather than visiting just a single landmark, you can pass through multiple caves and find tucked-away spots you’d never reach by foot. Some outings include a stop at a stunning beach for a breather, and there’s even the chance to enter a darker, dramatic “submarine” style cave that feels like an adventure movie moment. If you can, consider an early departure; the first trip of the day can feel especially peaceful, and you may get a more private, unhurried experience on the route.
It’s also a great pick if you want photos without the hassle—some guides are genuinely talented at capturing memorable shots while you’re paddling, so you go home with more than just a few rushed phone pictures. Whether you’re visiting from Albufeira, staying in town, or building a day around Praia da Marinha, this Algarve cave kayaking experience is a strong option for travelers who want active sightseeing with real “wow” moments.

1 year agoWe had the best time. Marello was our guide, and hw spoke perfect English. He was so relaxed and at ease. The tour was very well ran we went through the caves literally 3 of them took a rest at a beautiful beach and in a cave that was almost pitch black (submarine cave) which was epic. Thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you so much. We got to experience the open ocean in a great kayak which was almost effortless to navigate.

3 years agoSights are incredible. People are nice (mostly Indian staff, which was a surprise for us in Portugal). However the kayaks lack seats and weren’t comfortable. The places they go to are full of other kayakers and bigger boats so go as early as possible.

2 years agoAmazing experience! We had the chance to do the first kayak trip of the day at 8:00am and we were alone with the guide. Our guide Lovely was incredible. He is so kind, explain everything so well and take care of your safety always! Also a very good photographer! Best plan ever! We recommend this company 100%.

4 years agoSuper experience that worths the price. From Albufeira to Benagil's cave straight up and after some explanation we went back slowly reaching a lot of hidden caves and beaches with obviously Praya da Marinha. Give up the idea of the kayak... the ocean is too cold 😉

3 years agoWe are disappointed about the service. First we couldn’t found them at the crowded beach and due to this we were late for our rental slot. Second the kayaks weren’t fully equipped, we had only one seat, the other two sat directly in the kayak without a proper seat. The life jackets stank of sweat & dirt. They did not seem to be cleaned/sanitised after use (e.g. just dipping in the sanitiser as usually for water sports/scuba suits). Third there was no instruction or guidance given about the spots to look at or a route. Finally at the end of the tour, we were literally pushed out of the kayaks in an army. fashion - go, go, go… All in all, it felt like a typical tourist trap with mass processing and not a real joyful experience. Would not recommend it at all! We had better kayak experience elsewhere.
