Quinta da Abelha is a bed and breakfast in the Algarve of Portugal. Run by us, Jan and Linda van der Bij. We moved to Portugal in 2015. With the bed & breakfast we have fulfilled our long-time dream to start an adventure abroad. After a search of one year we bought an old fruit plantation near the small town of Laranjeiro.
After an extensive renovation our project is complete. And we look forward to greet you as our guest in the oasis of peace that we have created.
The space
Our bed & breakfast is located in a fruit plantation. Which we have renovated into a wonderful bed & breakfast. Room 2, located in a separated newly build guesthouse next to the old farmhouse. The room has an ensuite bathroom and a private terrace.
Guest access
Our guests have acces to their guest room, all of our outside grounds, the breakfast room and the communal pool.
Other things to note
We have a pet on our property, our dog Saar and cat Miep. We will make sure that you will come in contact with our pets as little as possible.
Tourist tax has been made mandatory in the Algarve since July 1, 2023. This must be paid at check-in, under the following conditions: from April to October €2 per night per person and from November to March €1 per night per person (maximum payment is 5 nights per person and children up to 16 years do not pay tourist tax).
