2 weeks agoDelicious food, top-notch ingredients. We had the octopus cataplana, tuna steak, and old-fashioned pork: everything was excellent. Even the unique desserts. Friendly staff and fast service. I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

a month agoJosé Pinheiro is the longtime chef of Eira do Mel, which he has led for over 30 years. He is considered one of the great interpreters of traditional Algarve cuisine and a gastronomic landmark on the Costa Vicentina. A truly wonderful discovery, the Octopus Cataplana has entered my top three seafood dishes of my life. The anchovy pâté entree, crowned with local wild produce such as oregano and capers harvested in the countryside, and the sensational artisanal ice creams cap off a top-notch meal in a rustic and traditional setting.
