Chad Thai Food Vilamoura is a true hidden gem in Quarteira for anyone who wants real Thai cooking—fresh, bold, and made with care—without the inflated “tourist strip” feeling. It’s a family-run restaurant where the welcome is genuine, the portions satisfy, and the flavours keep people coming back.
From the start, the team makes it easy to settle in. The service is warm and helpful, with staff comfortable speaking English, and menus that are clear and accessible. One of the best parts is how the kitchen tailors dishes to your preferences—especially when it comes to spice level—so you can go mild, medium, or properly Thai-hot.
The food is the headline. Regulars recommend staples like Pad Thai and Tom Yam Goong, along with fragrant red curry that hits the balance between heat and richness. For those who like deeper, warming flavours, the Massaman curry is often singled out as a standout. If you want something punchy and aromatic, Pad Krapow Gai is a favourite for its savoury basil kick. Start with crispy spring rolls, and don’t skip dessert—mango sticky rice is a classic, and the homemade coconut ice cream is a sweet finish that feels personal and special.
If you’re searching for authentic Thai food near the marina, with friendly people who genuinely care about your meal, this spot is an easy recommendation—relaxed, delicious, and excellent value for the quality on the plate.

in the last weekThis restaurant is not authentic or fabulous. We had the mixed starters which are were straight from an Asian supermarket & not home made as suggested. The two main courses were just potatoes or carrots with very limited chicken or beef. They should be ashamed with themselves calling it Thai food. Shockingly poor avoid.

in the last weekAh, what a great find! In this very touristy marina, you only need to wander a little into the side streets and you'll find this unassuming little place. The staff is very welcoming and incredibly polite. The dishes are of very high quality, with subtle flavors that respect Thai tradition. The prawn curry and pad thai are delicious. Sheltered from the tourist crowds, it's by far the best Thai restaurant between Vilamoura and Quarteira.
