Bella Rosa on Estrada de Vale do Lobo is the kind of Italian restaurant you remember after you’ve left—because everything that matters lands exactly right: welcoming, attentive service, a space that’s been thoughtfully refreshed, and plates that taste genuinely Italian rather than “Italian-inspired.” Locals in Almancil often point people here for a relaxed dinner that still feels a little special, whether you’re popping in for a quick pizza or settling in for a longer meal with wine and dessert.
The kitchen shines with authentic Italian cuisine that’s fresh, well-balanced, and confidently simple. Guests often rave about how consistently good the classics are—from thin, satisfying pizzas to pasta and risotto that feel carefully cooked rather than rushed. Spinach ravioli is a standout for anyone who loves a comforting, savory filling, while salads make an easy, crisp start. If you’re dining as a group, this is a great place to mix-and-match across the menu—pizza, chicken dishes, and richer pasta plates all sit comfortably side-by-side.
The setting has a polished feel after renovations, and when the weather’s on your side, there’s a cute outdoor area that turns dinner into a proper Algarve evening. Pair your meal with a glass from a thoughtfully chosen list—there’s a nice nod to Portuguese bottles too, making it easy to find something that fits your mood and budget. Between the quality on the plate and the fair pricing, Bella Rosa is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for Italian restaurant favorites in Almancil—and a spot you’ll likely want to revisit.

in the last weekWe really enjoyed our meal, the setting and decor is fabulous. The staff uniforms are very smart and the lady owner really appreciate her customers which is nice.

a month agoWe had to wait a long time due to the rider forgetting the calamari side so he had to go back to pick it up. By the time the food got here the pizza and the bruschetta was colder than room temperature and the crust was soggy due to this as well. The toppings were more spread out than a new covid plague and they were average but I couldve probs gotten more flavour from a jar of dolmio. The calamari had the consistency of an old tyre but far less flavour. The (im assuming) tar tar sauce was mixed in with lettuce so I had to either scrape it from the lettuce or eat that with it. Investing a tub with a lid. I would avoid this place like the 13th century plague and just go hungry if nothing else is open. Should be ashamed of themselves really. You would think when the driver went back they wouldve just made new pizzas so it was fresh.
