in the last weekMy husband and I recently celebrated our 23rd anniversary here whilst vacationing in Portugal. The setting and ambiance here is unique and utterly enchanting. The set menu, priced at €75pp with €32pp extra for wine pairing, is excellent and caters for a wide-range of tastes. The service by a young lady who I believe was name Bianca, was exceptional. My husband and I would happily return to The Windmill and would strongly encourage anyone to visit, particularly if you’re celebrating a special occasion and would like to elevate your dining experience to the next level.

in the last weekWonderful evening! Food was unbelievable delicious. Presentation was excellent. Only issue we had is we thought we would be eating inside the windmill instead they had tables at the base of the windmill on the outside on the terrace. I am glad we went but if we knew where we were eating we might not have gone. Definitely worth a visit for the food and presentation. D&J

a week agoBeautiful setting, only outdone by its food and service. Was expecting this to be nice but not quite so nice. We really enjoyed everything about our evening spent at the the Windmill. Bianca was a wonderful host. Made us feel so comfortable and talked us through each dish. The food itself was second to none and would recommend anyone staying in the area to give a try!

a week agoAn absolutely incredible experience and the perfect way to end our holiday in Portugal. Windmill Restaurant is such a unique and intimate setting, tucked inside a beautiful historic windmill with lovely views over Albufeira. With only a small number of tables, it feels incredibly special and personal, and being adults-only really adds to the peaceful, romantic atmosphere. The food was exquisite — a beautifully presented three-course tasting menu using seasonal ingredients, with every course feeling carefully thought through. We also opted for the drinks pairing, which complemented the food wonderfully. The staff were lovely throughout the evening — friendly, attentive and very helpful when it came to recommending dishes and drinks. Nothing felt rushed, and the whole experience was relaxed and really enjoyable. If you're looking for somewhere romantic and a little different for a special occasion, I would highly recommend Windmill. It was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip and the perfect final evening in Portugal. We would absolutely return!
