The space
A cozy and inviting retreat, these studios offer ample space for 2 guests. The São Rafael studios are named after one of the ships that sailed with Vasco da Gama when he discovered the passage to India in 1497.
When you step into our studio, you will find a combined bed/living room with comfortable twin beds (made up as a double) for a restful sleep, a dining table, seating area and a cozy fireplace (firewood can be provided at a cost) that offers ample warmth for the cooler days. Or if that’s not your style, controlled air conditioning and heating is also available. Satellite TV is provided and allows you to choose an assortment of channels, both national and international.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, hob and oven, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle and toaster. It also has all the cookware (pots, pans, bowls…etc) available to you that you may need to prepare a nice meal.
The private bathroom features a shower, sink, WC, bidet, hairdryer and a fan heater so you will feel comfortable in whichever season you choose to stay.
Spectacular views of the ocean await you when stepping onto the private terrace. Whether you have just woken up or are about to sit back for the evening, watch the colours of the sky change as the sun rises or dips below the horizon. And if you listen closely, you may even be able to hear the waves crashing against the rocks below.
We value local culture and craftsmanship, that’s why we have incorporated traditional Portuguese items in the accommodations. This includes original hand-painted tiles (azulejos).
We want to ensure that your experience is an exceptional one. Therefore, we have taken the pleasure in decorating your accommodations by placing freshly picked flowers from the beautiful surrounding gardens. These will be replaced on a daily basis!
Free parking is available on the premises, for your benefit. Whether you have come for business or pleasure, free WIFI is available for all our guests. So, take advantage and sit on the terrace to enjoy the sea view while you work!
We have upgraded our Internet to 5G and installed Chromecast. All you need is your phone, tablet or laptop.
The resort is located in a quiet and peaceful area just on the outskirts of the town of Carvoeiro. We have a variety of outdoor amenities for you to enjoy, such as a large outdoor pool area overlooking the ocean and natural rock formations below.
Or if you want to go exploring, the lively centre of Carvoeiro with its lovely beach, numerous restaurants, bars and shops is just a short 10-minute walk away. An added bonus to this walk, is the picturesque boardwalk over the stunning cliffs that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking coastline of the Algarve. On a clear day, you may even be able to see Sagres in the distance. It’s our favourite way to get to the centre of Carvoeiro.
Algar Seco Parque also has an ideal location for guests who want to explore the Algarve. So much to discover! The famous caves of Benagil are a short drive away, as is the awarded Marinha beach. But the Algarve is so much more than beautiful beaches. Discover Silves (former Moorish capital of the Algarve), Ferragudo (a picturesque fisherman´s village), the charming interior (Alte, Querença), Faro and its “Old Town”, the attractive city of Tavira, the bustling city of Lagos (and its rich seafaring heritage), the impressive cliffs at the “end of the world” (Cape St. Vincent), and more…
