For a relaxed meal with a postcard-worthy backdrop, Restaurante 54 is a smart stop in Albufeira. This small, welcoming restaurant is loved for its incredible ocean view, easygoing vibe, and a menu that covers all the holiday classics—done with freshness and care. It’s the kind of place you stumble upon once and then end up returning to because it simply ticks every box.
The setting is a major part of the appeal. If you’re lucky, you’ll land a table by the sea and settle in as the light changes over the water—perfect for an unhurried dinner or a casual evening drink. The drinks list is strong, and the overall mood stays friendly and calm, thanks to staff who are warm, attentive, and happy to help.
On the food side, there’s plenty to like. The peri peri chicken is a standout—bold, juicy, and satisfying—while seafood fans should keep an eye on the daily options and classic Algarve choices. The fish soup is frequently praised for its tenderness and comforting flavour, and the seafood rice soup-style dish is a great pick when you want something hearty and fresh. If you’re ordering to share, starters like garlic bread with cheese make a solid start to the table.
For something a little different, the octopus is often recommended—well cooked and ideal with the sea breeze and a cold drink. Add in quick, kind service and pricing that feels fair for such a prime location, and Restaurante 54 becomes an easy recommendation in Albufeira for seaside dining that’s genuinely enjoyable.

in the last weekWenn man einen der 5-6 Plätze am Strand bekommt, ist es ganz schön. Das Essen war ok. Die Kartenzahlung ist erst ab 30€ möglich.

a week agoVery pleasant experience! We've been here a couple of times and have nothing negative to say! The view right on the ocean is breathtaking, the prices (compared to other places) are quite reasonable and the portions are just right, plus the staff is very friendly and polite!

a week agoO polvo à Lagareiro estava bom. Mas o bacalhau á Brás é mau. Primeiro porque era Paloco, segundo porque a batata era palha e sem a envolvência do ovo. Vale a pena a vista e o preço dos pratis do dia.
