Sunset Boat Tours in Lagos Without the Crowds

Funtastik Tours is a well-loved tour operator in Lagos for travelers who want a fun, local-feeling adventure on the water—especially at golden hour. Their sunset trips strike a rare balance: they feel exciting and “must-do,” but still personal and relaxed, with guides who keep the energy high while making the whole experience feel easy.

Visitors consistently highlight the crew’s friendly attitude and sense of humor, which makes the trip feel like you’re out with locals rather than on a scripted outing. The guides are also praised for their confident boat handling—particularly when navigating into smaller, hidden caves that many people don’t get to see up close. If you’re traveling with children, it’s a great pick: families mention that kids absolutely love the cave moments and come away with a genuine “core memory” kind of day.

Planning is straightforward too. Communication is quick and convenient, with details handled smoothly so you’re not chasing information while you’re on holiday. Once you’re on board, the focus is on enjoying the coastline, chasing the best light for photos, and soaking up that unmistakable Algarve atmosphere as the sun drops toward the horizon.

A practical tip that comes up often: it can get breezy and cool out on the water—even in summer—so bringing a light jacket can make the difference between a good trip and a truly comfortable one. If you’re looking for a sunset boat tour in Lagos that feels lively, skillfully guided, and refreshingly free from that “packed tourist boat” vibe, Funtastik Tours is an easy recommendation.

We booked a fishing tour (4h bottom fishing) with this company and they make us go with pescamar. We had problems during the trip (you can find my nice review on it on pescamar Google). We went back to understand how it could happen (we were not looking for a refound). The guy didn't care, told us that it was normal to pay the full price (we did 2h instead of 4h). And to go complain elsewhere since it's not his problem. His neighbours on the dock (selling boat trips) were laughing, as he knew we were right. To conclude, very nice when they don't have the money, once you paid... You guessed it.. Tourist rip-off.

Fantastic 1.5 hour tour, I don't remember the name of our captain but he was a very nice young guy who gave us a great experience.
