1 month agoThe absolute highlight of our holiday! We had originally booked onto the tour on Sunday but Ricardo, our amazing guide, messaged us on Friday to ask if we happened to be free on Saturday as the weather forecast was better. We had no fixed plans so were happy to move it based on Ricardo’s experience and it was absolutely the right decision! We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable, spacious van and Ricardo gave us lots of information about the plan for the day during the drive to Algar Seco, our first location. The rain was absolutely torrential during the drive but had mostly let up by the time we arrived to Algar Seco, and the initial poor weather conditions had clearly scared off everyone else from venturing out as we had the entire area to ourselves to take some incredible pictures and videos. By the time we were ready to leave Algar Seco, the sky was bright blue, the sun was out and there was barely a cloud in the sky - Ricardo gave us a great bit of insight that as we could see Lagos from the viewing area, there wouldn’t be any more rain for the duration of our hike as the rain comes in from that direction. He was absolutely right! Despite a bit of wind, we had wonderful conditions for the rest of the hike and the pictures we got were astounding. Again, because it’s off season and not the warmest, there were very few people around so we had no issue finding the perfect spots for photos and Ricardo was happy for us to take as long as wanted to admire the views. He gave us lots of interesting information about the names of the areas and features, how the rock formations came to be, and had pictures and videos from the summer season to show the difference in crowd levels and the colour of the ocean - we would definitely be keen to make a return trip to above Benagil Cave in the warmer months so we can really see that crystal clear water! As well as Algar Seco and Benagil Cave from above, we got to venture along the 7 Valleys trail which was an amazing experience with stunning views, culminating at the Marinha beach - Ricardo gave us directions to a secret beach through a cave which was an absolutely incredible place to discover, and we got some fantastic photos. Got to put our indoor bouldering hobby into an outdoor context as you do need to climb and scramble over a section of rock to get through the cave - this just made it all the more exciting! Ricardo then gave us an hour of free time to enjoy the beach and views whilst he walked back to the start of the trail to retrieve the van. He then dropped us back off at our hotel and left us with the most fantastic memories and amazing pictures. We’re already recommending this to everyone and will continue to do so when we get back home, and would absolutely book another trip through Algarve Explorer - hope to see you again in the not too distant future!!

3 weeks agoWhat a great experience with stunning views. One of the best - if not the best - tours I have ever done. Ricardo is just the perfect tour guide (and the owner of the company). Absolutely amazing half day. A must-do while visiting the beautiful Algarve region. Go see the doll's eyes, the big head and the elephant.

3 weeks agoWe did the full walk from the lighthouse, and it was a fantastic day. Ricardo speaks perfect English and was a excellent guide. The walk has some superb views, took about 3 hours and was generally a easy walk We would definitely recommend

3 years agoI would like to write a review about my great experience with a 4-hour Hidden gems Albufeira & Horse riding tour with the Algarve Explorer. Ricardo, my guide, showed me loads of great hidden spots in Albufeira. It was amazing. Then I had horse riding on the beach. It was my 2nd time with those stabels and simply my dream comes true. He picked me up and bring me back to my appartment, so I had to worried about nothing. Thank you for this amazing experience and I highly recommend it to everyone.

3 years agoI had an incredible experience with a 4-hour Hidden gems Albufeira & Horse riding tour in the Algarve that I'll never forget! Gianni, our amazing guide immediately won us over with his warm personality and extensive knowledge of the Algarve's culture. He shared fascinating insights about the Algarve's culture while taking us to stunning places. After this we embarked on a magical ride along the dunes, with the setting sun casting a mesmerizing glow on the landscape.The manege staff ensured our safety and made the ride enjoyable. Despite my limited experience, they let me gallop, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Thank you to the entire team! This adventure was simply magical , and I'll cherish these memories forever. I highly recommend it to everyone!
