in the last weekWe'd been coming to this place for years whenever we spent our holidays in Sagres. In fact, it was one of the main reasons we always decided to spend several days there. We loved its unique concept of a bar, restaurant, and laundromat, and its welcoming atmosphere. It was our favorite spot for breakfast, to return in the evening for a few beers, enjoy the live music, and finish with dinner. It had a very special charm that made us always want to come back. This year, we were incredibly disappointed. We tried to go in mid-afternoon for a drink and to enjoy the music, but we were told that, since we didn't have a reservation, the tables were only for dinner. What surprised us most was that the place was practically empty. We even wondered if it's no longer possible to stand around, have a beer, and enjoy the atmosphere, as we did in previous years. We understand that a business evolves and that success brings changes, but we feel that this place has lost precisely what made it unique. That spontaneity, that relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and that feeling that anyone could just walk in and enjoy the place without needing to plan everything. We left Sagres with great sadness, seeing how one of our favorite places has changed so much.
