If you’re looking for a dependable restaurant in Olhão with a convenient location and an easygoing atmosphere, Petiscais fits the bill—ideal for both locals popping in and visitors who want something close by without sacrificing quality.
What makes Petiscais especially appealing is its natural “drop-in” convenience. Being located at Estação Ferroviária de Olhão – Cais Coberto means you can plan it as your first stop after arrival or your last bite before departure. It’s also a handy option for anyone staying nearby who wants a no-fuss place for a satisfying meal, whether you’re craving something light or prefer to linger over a table of shared bites.

in the last weekWe found this place based on the reviews and weren't disappointed. It was our best dinner of the trip, but also our most expensive. We arrived early and were lucky to get a table for three without a reservation. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is exceptionally friendly.

a week agoThe restaurant is an old railway siding and is full of character, it’s a short distance from Olhao Station. We dined outside on the terrace. I had the Couvert (as I love the lupine pate and algarvian carrots!) my partner ordered anchovies and they were incredible. Of course the bread - fig and walnut, is also worthy of a mention. For mains, I had the most delicious seared crusted tuna with salad and sweet potato fries and my partner ordered swordfish, both were incredible. We followed that with the lime and chocolate ice cream. It was a really great meal with friendly and attentive service. Would definitely return when next in Olhao.
