For an easygoing meal by the water, LemonDrops – Restaurante & Lounge is a standout at the Albufeira Marina. The setting does a lot of the work—outdoor tables overlook the boats, creating a breezy backdrop that fits everything from a post-boat breakfast to a relaxed dinner with cocktails.
Mornings are a strong suit here. Breakfast is often described as hearty, hot, and satisfying, with kind, efficient service that keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. Coffee lovers have options too—whether you’re after an iced drink or a more classic double espresso, it’s the sort of place that’s happy to get it how you like it.
Later in the day, the menu holds its own with a mix of crowd-pleasers and fresher, seasonal plates. The steak is regularly noted for being well cooked, while lighter choices like a pesto caprese bring a bright, Mediterranean feel—perfect for a sunny marina lunch. Presentation is polished, but the overall vibe stays relaxed and approachable, which is exactly what you want in a lounge-style restaurant.
Cocktails are a major reason people return. The margarita is frequently singled out as one of the best guests have had, and the caipirinha is another favourite—balanced, refreshing, and made with care. It’s the kind of bar program that turns “one drink” into an easy evening. When it’s time for dessert, panna cotta and brownies are popular finishes—sweet, satisfying, and a nice final note before a stroll along the marina.
Dietary needs are handled thoughtfully as well, with options that suit vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diners—ideal when you’re choosing a place for a mixed group. If you’re looking for a restaurant at Albufeira Marina with seasonal ingredients, a cocktail lounge feel, and views that elevate the whole experience, LemonDrops is an excellent pick.

in the last weekGreat place for a chill out, very comfortable chairs and wonderful location right on the marina. We only stayed for drinks but we could see the food and it looked delicious. Wonderful attentive staff and considering the location very reasonable price.

a week agoUnfortunately, our experience at LemonDrops in Albufeira Marina was very disappointing. Before we went in, my wife specifically asked if they served monkfish, and I asked if they served fillet steak. We were told “yes” to both questions, which is why we decided to eat there. When the food arrived, there was no monkfish, and instead of the fillet steak I had ordered, I was served a sirloin steak without anyone explaining the change or asking if that was acceptable. Had we been told beforehand that our choices weren’t available, we would have ordered something else or chosen a different restaurant. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and unwelcoming throughout our visit. Customer service was poor from the moment we arrived, and we felt like our concerns weren’t important. We don’t mind if a restaurant runs out of certain dishes—that can happen—but being told items are available when they aren’t, and then being served something different without any explanation, is not acceptable. Combined with the poor attitude of the staff, it made for a very disappointing experience. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend LemonDrops based on our visit.

a week agoWe discovered this restaurant located in the Albufeira marina. The welcome was excellent upon arrival. The food was delicious and very tasty. However, after such a remarkable welcome, the service left much to be desired. I'm not in the habit of raising my hand to be served, which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. The service was quite slow, with only 3 tables being served, including ours! In fact, an English tourist sitting next to us left after a 15-minute wait! To boost the summer crowds, efficiency is a highly valued quality.
