Other things to note
Important note as of June 2024:
As the Algarve is going thru the worst period of drought ever registered, and water reserves in the most important dams were only at about 20% at the beginning of May, the local government imposed restrictions to water use, including the watering of public and private gardens or grass areas.
This has inevitably led to gardens around Lagos, including ours, drying up and looking less nice and enjoyable.
While there is a plan to rebuild our garden with plants better suited to our increasingly dry climate, synthetic grass and a recycled water circuit, this will only be accomplished after in 2025.
We hope this doesn’t affect your experience too much but it’s really out of our control.
