The space
Our private five-bedroom villa is set within the exclusive Quinta do Mar estate, a sought-after enclave positioned between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. Tucked away on a peaceful cul-de-sac among mature pine trees, the villa offers privacy and tranquillity while remaining within easy walking distance of Praia do Ancão and some of the Algarve’s most loved beach bars and restaurants, including Julia’s and The Bold Octopus.
The villa is ideal for larger families or groups of friends, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, with additional flexibility for children and infants.
An impressive double-doored entrance, lined with cypress trees, opens into a striking double-height hallway that sets the tone for the rest of the house. Throughout the villa, we’ve created a luxurious yet practical home-from-home atmosphere designed to suit every generation.
The beautiful Praia do Ancão is just a 10–15 minute walk away. From here, a scenic boardwalk allows you to walk, jog or cycle to some of the Algarve’s most loved beach bars and restaurants, including Julia’s, The Bold Octopus, 2 Passos, Izzy’s, and a little further along, Maria’s and The Shack.
Within the estate, guests also have access to a communal tennis court, football pitch and 24-hour security
Outside, the villa is designed for relaxed Algarve living. The mature garden surrounds a brand-new private pool with tanning deck, sun loungers and parasols. Shaded outdoor seating and dining areas are fitted with electric awnings for comfort during warmer hours, and the BBQ area is perfect for long lunches or evenings dining at home.
Inside, there’s space for both fun and downtime. Children will love the games room and cinema room in the lower ground floor, while adults can enjoy the full-size snooker table and bar area. The open-plan lounge is spacious yet cosy for quieter evenings, with books, board games and cards provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with premium appliances, two fridges, coffee machine and blender — ideal for families or catered stays. For those who like to stay active, there’s a covered outdoor area with table tennis, free weights, yoga mats and blocks.
Bedrooms are thoughtfully spaced for privacy. The master suite and two guest suites are on the first floor, with an additional guest suite on the ground floor. The fifth bedroom is on the lower ground floor and is perfectly suited to younger guests, with two bunk beds sleeping four.
We offer flexible sleeping arrangements, including a guest room that can be set up as a double or twin on request. A travel cot, highchair and fold-away single bed suitable for a child are also available — please let us know your requirements at the time of booking.
To make your stay even easier, the villa includes tennis rackets and balls, table tennis bats, beach toys, buckets and spades, and other useful beach essentials.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the villa, with the exception of the garage, which is kept locked for owner use.
Other things to note
Our standard changeover day is Saturday, with a minimum stay of 7 nights.
The Quinta do Mar estate is patrolled by 24-hour security (IBC). Full details are provided in the welcome book.
Routine maintenance takes place during the week:
• The gardener visits weekly on Mondays
• Pool maintenance is carried out weekly (day advised prior to arrival)
We recommend hiring a car, as public buses do not serve this area. However, Uber is affordable and reliable, and we’re happy to recommend a trusted local driver for airport transfers or trips during your stay
The pool is not heated during peak season. For shoulder or low-season stays, pool heating can be arranged at an additional cost — please request this at the time of booking.
Underfloor heating is available during the winter months and should also be requested when booking.
For festive stays, we’re happy to provide a Christmas tree and decorations to help make your stay feel extra special.
In accordance with local regulations in the Loulé municipality (which includes Almancil), a small tourist tax applies to all guests aged 16 and above. It’s €2 per person, per night between April and October (or €1 per person, per night from November to March), up to a maximum of 5 nights.
As Airbnb doesn’t collect this tax automatically in our area, we must collect it from you via a separate money request prior to your arrival.
Please note that the villa is also a private home and is offered as presented; we’re unable to move or swap furniture, games equipment or fixtures.
