Exceptional townhouse with a private jacuzzi on the terrace, in the heart of Olhão’s old town, just 2 minutes from the seaside promenade.
L’Orientale features on the ground floor a very large living room and kitchen, on the first floor the bedroom with terrace and bathroom, and finally on the top level, the private rooftop terrace with its jacuzzi just for you, solarium, and summer kitchen.
Very bright, it overlooks a shared patio with a small fountain and offers high-quality amenities..
The space
Recently renovated with the help of a renowned architect and local craftsmen, it provides comfort and discreet luxury while respecting the unique cubist architecture of Olhão’s historic center.
A little gem that immerses us in an Asian-inspired universe. Black mingles with white, contemporary design meets antique objects. A jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace with the soothing water and powerful jets, Yin and Yang are present everywhere.
I have endeavored to decorate it to create a special atmosphere that feels somewhat timeless, a retreat inspired by asian codes combined with the bright ambiance of southern homes, located in the heart of bustling streets, shops, restaurants, and markets of the Algarve’s largest fishing port and Ria Formosa.
Ceramic tiles chosen with taste, preserving the identity of the place, unique pieces imported from various countries recalling the former Portuguese colonies, and antique doors restored by a master carpenter, I wanted to preserve the often overlooked soul and history of Portugal and the Algarve.
All this is combined with modern comfort, including quality beds (King Size bed and 2 sofas), a silent reversible air conditioning system, a full bathroom, and high-performance WIFI (fiber) despite the thickness of the walls. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher (because we have other things to do on vacation…), washing machine, espresso machine (Dolce Gusto), and much more. The counter top allows for meals.
The summer kitchen, on the terrace, with refrigerator, sink, and Plancha, allows you to enjoy the mildness and sunshine of the Algarve and spend unforgettable evenings with a drink while enjoying the jacuzzi throughout the year, adjustable from 27º to 40º.
It’s also a chance to relive memories with Pac-Man, Super Mario, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, and all the others from the Nintendo Classic for relaxed moments during aperitif time on a big screen.
All cotton bed linens and towels are provided: the comfort of a real guest house.
No need for a car to shop, dine out, enjoy Ria Formosa, and access the pristine beaches of the beautiful islands of Culatra, Farol, and Armona.
L’Orientale is particularly well-suited for accommodating a couple or a family.

Guest access
L’Orientale is part of the CasaPadua residence. A group of 5 small townhouses, each with its own unique and refined style and decoration, organized around a fountain and a shared patio.
The house is available in its entirety. Access is through a private entrance from the patio, which is accessible from the street by a keypad.
The keys are available in a combination safe near the door. However, whenever possible, I always try to welcome my guests in person.
