Newly available since August 2020, this former abandoned village sleeps up to 30 guests having been transformed into a stunning luxurious private mountain retreat. Completely secluded, surrounded by nothing but wilderness and 360 degree views. There are no other people, neighbours or buildings for as far as the eye can see, yet only a short 35 minute drive from Faro airport and 10 minutes from Sao Bras de Alportel with all the supermarkets and restaurants close by.
The space
The retreat was once a small rural village of about 10 families and was abandoned in the 1950s. It has been perfectly restored into a fully equipped luxurious property for families, business or wellness groups to come together and enjoy quality time in a unique and stunning location. There are 8 twin/double ensuites, 2 triple ensuites, a private cottage with a 2 further bedrooms, a total of 25 guests can stay in complete seclusion from any other people or disturbance. There are also 4 Shepherds Huts with AC units for heating/cooling and an outdoor yurt that adds a further 10 bed spaces. 25-28 is a good number to bring, but we do allow up to 30 however it will feel a little tight in the communal areas with more than 28 people. Note the yurt is not available from November 1 to end of April. We have indoor and outdoor dining available for up to 30 people. We also have a World Class yoga studio that has all the yoga equipment needed for yoga retreats as well as basic group exercise equipment, boxing equipment, weights etc. for fitness classes. This space can be turned into an open plan office with 10 desks and office chairs if your group want to use it for working instead. We have an incredible infinity pool and log cabin sauna from Finland. 2 hours of sauna is included any more there is a charge. 3 hours of communal house keeping is included in the fee. You can add on more cleaning if needed. We can also supply catering or provide you with contacts if you need for chefs and our own transfer company, massage therapists and day trip ideas.
