Casa Arte is a unique place for sunny holidays with friends and family. It blends the privacy of home with the comfort of a luxury hotel.
It is a dream escape to relax, enjoy the quietness of the space and the peaceful environment but also to discover and experience the wild part of the Algarve.
You feel far away but the villa sits about 10 minutes driving from the charming city of Lagos and the ocean. It is also a golfers’ paradise with 3 golfs less than 15 minutes (24 less than 1 hour).
The space
The villa is perfect for groups of friends staying together with their own family – we have 4 suites with en-suite bathrooms and 1 family room – two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, comfortably sleeping up to 12 people.
All rooms are quiet, peaceful and offer homely comforts far away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area.
Outside, there are a pool surrounded by sun loungers and a terrace protected by a pergola with comfortable sofas for napping in the shade or enjoying an aperitif.
The building is a Moorish style. It is a traditional Portuguese construction that follows the typical architecture of the Algarve like the very thick walls and earth based materials that keep the house cool in summer.
The decoration brings some contemporary, minimalist and modern features to create a very casual and cosy atmosphere. It is a perfect mix of aesthetics, elegance and comfort.
Other things to note
The sun pretty much shines all year around and there is always a blue sky above. With 300 sunny days a year, the Algarve is attractive at any time.
It is a dreamy escape when hard winter hits Northern Europe but I would say that the best time to visit is generally from April to October.
July and August are the most touristy times. The temperature might go up to 30-35 degrees Celsius. However, you can relax in the shade under the trees during the day. At night the house has big thick walls that keep your room fresh for the most restful sleep.
Spring and Autumn are amazing because you still get nice, sunny days, the night brings cool air that makes the day more comfortable and the beaches are less crowded at that time.
