Buggy Safari Algarve delivers the kind of off-road day that turns a regular trip into a core memory. Based near Loulé, this tour agency is ideal for anyone who wants to swap crowded beaches for dusty tracks, panoramic viewpoints, and the lesser-known side of the Algarve—without sacrificing professionalism or comfort.
The experience is often described as thorough, informative, and properly adrenaline-filled. Tours are designed to give you more than just speed and splashes of dirt: guides share interesting details about the local area, including flora and fauna, so the route feels connected to the landscape rather than just a thrill ride. Even first-timers tend to leave impressed by how well the day is structured and how high the overall standard feels—from briefing to pacing to support on the trail.
One of the best parts is the flexibility in choosing a route that matches your energy level. The 70 km option is a popular starting point, and it’s not unusual for guests to enjoy it so much they come back to book a full-day adventure. If you’re traveling with a child or visiting during hotter months, the team’s timing recommendations can make a big difference—morning departures can be a smart choice for a more comfortable ride.
Expect memorable stops along the way, including lookout points with wide-open views over the Algarve. Even with a bit of trail dust in the air, the scenery delivers—especially when you reach higher ground and see the countryside stretch out toward the coast. Another standout touch is how accommodating the guides can be with photos and videos. Many guests love receiving high-quality footage afterward, capturing action moments and landscape views you might otherwise miss.
What really ties the whole day together is the welcoming, personal vibe. The team is known for making people feel genuinely comfortable—helpful, friendly, and fun to chat with—so the adventure feels like it’s run by locals who care about your experience, not just the schedule.
If you’re looking for an off-road buggy safari with epic viewpoints, knowledgeable guides, and a high-energy route through the Algarve backcountry, Buggy Safari Algarve is an easy recommendation.

1 year agoTruly the best experience ever! The tour was very thorough, informative and adrenaline filled! Myself and my partner originally booked the 70km tour, but we had so much fun, we instantly decided to book a full day tour for the following week! 100% recommend for anyone wanting to view the lesser known wonders of the Algarve 😍 A huge thank you to Helder & Sandie (Lucky, Strike & Mel, too!🐱) for making us feel so welcome 🫶🏼 We look forward to visiting again when we return to this beautiful country. Obrigada, amigos! ❤️

9 months agoIt’s a hot day in June so we used the website recommendations to book the 10 am tour especially since we had a child and it was perfect. In my buggy I sat passenger alongside a guide that not only gave some information about the local flora and fauna but doubled as our family photographer. We had a brief stop at the top of a lookout which gave a phenomenal view of the Algarve even with all the dust in the air right now. We will definitely book again but next time the sunset tour! Highly recommend.

4 months agoFirst time in Algarve, thought I would try the 70 km tour, without too many expectations. I left with an unforgettable experience, everything was very professional and of a high standard. It is important for me to especially mention the owner of the business, an amazing man, very fun to talk to. A professional of the highest level, I received the photos and videos and I was surprised by how beautiful they are. In conclusion, I highly recommend it and can't wait for the next tour!!

5 months agoWe joined a private tour with our family. My wife and me drove a buggy each for the 30 km trip, and our two kids were passengers. The experience was all it promised to be, and more. The buggys were great, the guide adapted his speed to our increasing confidence during the ride, and was calm and relaxed in explaining things when needed. The roads were beautiful with enough, but not too much, challenging terrain to push ourselves a bit. Definitely would recommend!
