a year agoThis review took awhile but we finally retraced our steps and figured out exactly where we were. So- We asked our host if he knew a place that served Francesinha- a dish we had and loved while in Portugal 2 yrs ago. He was on the phone and in minutes this place was his recommendation. Let’s start with the very talented owner who we had the privilege to have a great warm informative conversation with. We visited right before Easter celebration and she shared their procession and iconic flower cross ceremony. I’ll just say she was a delight and “Let her carry the flower cross” Her mother was the chef who prepared our favorite version of this dish. It was amazing! Don’t let the facade fool you, this place is the real deal when it comes to traditional Portuguese food. My wife is a retired chef she would have loved to spend some time discovering this chefs secrets. We loved the experience and will make a trip here again just to have their delicious food. I should mention the owner is a talented pastry chef as well. Can’t recommend enough. Best of luck to this wonderful family establishment!
