Add to that the consistently praised outstanding service—friendly, professional, and attentive without hovering—and you have a restaurant that’s easy to recommend to visitors and locals alike.
And don’t skip the drinks. Aurora is also known for its crafted cocktails, making it ideal for a pre-dinner toast or a relaxed finish to the evening. With its convenient location in central Tavira and a menu that satisfies beyond just steak, steak dinner here feels like a complete night out—no extra planning required.

in the last weekLoved it! Food was great, my 9 year old loved his rare steak and getting to choose his own steak knife was a nice touch. We will be back the next time we are in Tavira!

in the last weekAbsolutely not recommended. The meat was terrible, the wine was warm, the water was in refillable bottles, and the price was exorbitant. Honestly, a rip-off.

a week agoThis is the best steak we have had in all of Portugal! The service is impeccable the staff pays attention to detail. We ordered the stuffed mushroom, lamp chops, and the chefs choice meat board which was well worth the price. The caramelized corn grilled pineapple and sweet potato chips were excellent accompaniments to the meal but let’s be real the meat is the star of the show.

2 weeks agoHonestly one of the worst meat I have eaten in my life… they cooked a frozen T-bone. The meat was like water… the chorizo was too cooked and hard… the wine was awful… I mean they call it a steakhouse… it is led by people not knowing what is the taste of meat… again one of my worst experience in Portugal…
